The settlements of Panagia Kalamiotissa or Karachalios, Karyotis and Tarsos, which are located in the northern coasts of the Corinthian Golf and belong to the Municipal Unit of Kiriaki. At first, shepherds made the winter quarters there for the animals in these areas in order to avoid the heavy winter in the village. As the years passed by, several houses were built and some residents started working as fishermen and farmers, cultivating olive trees and wheat and producing coal. Nowadays, these house are converted into summer holiday houses for locals.
