On the Paleokastro hill are the surviving ruins of the acropolis of the ancient Focian city Flygonion and the small church of St. Nektarios dominates at the top. The panoramic view is magnificent and the visitor can see Mount Parnassos, Mount Gkiona, the Monastery of Osios Loukas and the Corinthian sea from there. It is accessible via a dirt road 1.5 km long starting from the regional road and the ascent is definitely worth it!
